The University of Cape Town is a public research university in Cape Town, South Africa. Established in 1829 it is the oldest university in South Africa and in Sub-Saharan Africa. UCT is consistently the highest-ranked African university in the QS World University Rankings, the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and the Academic Ranking of World Universities, and its Commerce, Law, and Medicine Faculties are consistently placed among the hundred best internationally. UCT is the only African member of the Global University Leaders Forum (GULF) within the World Economic Forum.

UNIMORE has a longstanding tradition as it was founded in 1175. It is composed of 13 Departments, offering a wide range of degree programmes at undergraduate level, right up to doctoral studies in most disciplinary areas, from the humanities and social sciences to engineering and technology, and from physical and natural sciences to medicine and life sciences.
